People can say things about me all day long that I know aren’t true and it never bothers me. It’s when I’m already doubtful or lacking confidence about something that the words tend to affect me more. Words can hurt but don’t let it change your mindset. They aren’t facts, they are merely opinions of others who most of the time don’t matter and shouldn’t be taken seriously. Develop a list of positive attributes about yourself and the next time someone says negative or hurtful things, replace their words with your own.
